IN TEXAS IL 4° AMERICAN CIRCUSFEST: News e Giuria

(Frisco, Texas): La quarta edizione dell’American CircusFest torna a Frisco sotto il tendone del Circo Vazquez dal 25 al 26 marzo al Rider’s Field. Il festival annuale attrae artisti circensi professionisti da tutto il mondo che si sfidano in due spettacoli consecutivi davanti a una giuria di giudici di alto livello, in lizza per i premi Gold, Silver e Bronze. “Siamo entusiasti di portare di nuovo l’American CircusFest a Frisco”, ha affermato Fanny Kerwich, fondatrice del festival. “Il festival è cresciuto negli ultimi tre anni e gli spettacoli sono diventati più competitivi. È davvero una competizione circense unica nel suo genere negli Stati Uniti, con alcuni dei migliori artisti circensi del mondo e artisti emergenti, e offre alla gente di Frisco un’opportunità unica di godersi spettacoli circensi classici presentati in modi nuovi e innovativi”. Come attrazione speciale aggiunta quest’anno, il ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson sarà la voce del festival indossando il tradizionale cappello a cilindro e frac del direttore. Ringmaster per due decenni presso The Greatest Show on Earth e “l’ultimo ringmaster” di Ringling Bros. e Barnum & Bailey, Johnathan si è giustamente guadagnato l’ambito titolo di “ringmaster d’America”.

Una giuria internazionale si riunirà ancora una volta a Frisco per prendere la difficile decisione di indicare chi è il “migliore dei migliori” tra gli artisti circensi in gara. Otto giudici provenienti da tutto il mondo rappresentano collettivamente più di tre secoli di esperienza circense professionale come proprietari, produttori, registi e artisti. Sono:

• Regina Bouglione del leggendario Cirque d’Hiver-Bouglione di Parigi, Francia;

• Charlie Burrows, direttore del casting per spettacoli residenti per il Cirque du Soleil canadese;

• Sarah Davison, ex artista circense di Las Vegas e ora direttrice del casting per Ringling Bros. e Barnum & Bailey;

• Li Chi, presidente della China National Acrobatic Troupe di Pechino, Cina;

• Diane Arata, ex artista olandese e ora con Circus Vargas-USA;

• Adans Peres, ex artista spagnolo di equilibrismo e ora presidente di Starlight Production & Showbusiness.

• Sandor Donnert della Donnert Entertainment ungherese; e

• Maxim Nikulin, figlio dell’amato clown russo Yury Nikulin e direttore generale del Nikulin Circus.

Inoltre, l’American CircusFest New Generation, una competizione parallela “feeder” aperta a concorrenti junior dai cinque anni ai giovani adulti, si terrà il 22 e 23 marzo presso la Lone Star Circus School di Dallas, situata in Simonton Road 4207, insieme a workshop, sessioni di domande e risposte con professionisti del circo, ecc. Il vincitore della competizione New Generation avrà l’opportunità di esibirsi nella competizione professionale. “Circus Vazquez ospita generosamente la competizione nella pista del circo sotto il suo tendone Big Top da 1.700 posti, personalizzato, blu e bianco, climatizzato, come parte del suo impegno annuale primaverile a Frisco”, ha aggiunto la Sig.ra Kerwich. Il Circus Vazquez si esibirà al Rider’s Field dal 14 al 30 marzo. Ha anche riconosciuto l’hotel Hilton TRU di Frisco come hotel ufficiale del festival.

L’American CircusFest® è stato creato nel 2022 da Fanny Kerwich, un’artista circense di ottava generazione di origine francese e fondatrice e direttrice artistica del Lone Star Circus di Dallas. Dal 2024, l’American CircusFest è un ente di beneficenza senza scopo di lucro il cui obiettivo è creare sogni, eccellenza ed esposizione internazionale per i circhi e i loro artisti. American CircusFest Returns to Frisco for its Fourth Year at Riders Field (in Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex)

(Frisco, Texas): The fourth annual edition of American CircusFest® returns to Frisco under the Big Top canvas of Circus Vazquez March 25–26 at Rider’s Field. The annual festival attracts professional circus artists from around the world competing in two consecutive performances before a distinguished panel of judges, vying for Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards. Tickets for the festival are now on sale at www.AmericanCircusFest.org.

“We are thrilled to once again bring the American CircusFest® to Frisco,” said Fanny Kerwich, Founder of the Festival. “The festival has grown over the past three years and performances have become more competitive. It is really a one-of-a-kind circus competition in the United States featuring some of the world-best circus artists as well as emerging artists, and it offers the people of Frisco a unique opportunity to enjoy classical circus acts presented in new and innovative ways.” As a special added attraction this year, Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson will serve as The Voice of the festival while decked out in traditional Ringmaster’s Top Hat and Tails. A two-decade Ringmaster with The Greatest Show on Earth and “the Last Ringmaster” of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Johnathan has rightfully earned the coveted title of “America’s Ringmaster.”

A panel of international judges will once again gather in Frisco to make the difficult decision of deciding who is the “best of the best” among competing circus artists. Eight judges hailing from across the globe collectively represent more than three centuries of professional circus experience as owners, producers, directors, and artists. They are:

• Regina Bouglione of the legendary Cirque d’Hiver-Bouglione in Paris, France;
• Charlie Burrows, Casting Director for Resident Shows for Canada’s Cirque du Soleil;
• Sarah Davison, former Las Vegas circus performer and now Casting Director for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey;
• Li Chi, President of the China National Acrobatic Troupe in Beijing, China;
• Diane Arata, former artist from The Netherlands and now with Circus Vargas-USA;
• Adans Peres, former Spanish hand-balancing artist and now President of Starlight Production & Showbusiness.
• Sandor Donnert of Hungary’s Donnert Entertainment; and
• Maxim Nikulin, son of the beloved Russian clown Yury Nikulin and General Director of Nikulin Circus.

Additionally, American CircusFest® New Generation, a parallel “feeder” competition open to junior competitors aged five to young adults, will be held March 22-23 at Lone Star Circus® School in Dallas located at 4207 Simonton Road, along with workshops, Q&A sessions with circus professionals, etc. The winner of the New Generation competition will have an opportunity to perform in the professional competition.

“Circus Vazquez generously hosts the competition in the circus ring under its 1,700-seat custom-designed blue-and-white, climate controlled Big Top canvas as part of its annual Spring engagement in Frisco,” Ms. Kerwich added. Circus Vazquez will be appearing at Rider’s Field March 14-30.  She also acknowledged the Hilton TRU hotel in Frisco as the official hotel of the festival.
